Crop Updates! Summer is almost over!

Well, it has been a strange week. Yesterday I broke my toe. Trying to walk is difficult. Hopefully I can put a shoe on in several days.

We have 2 crops coming up so save the date. September 21st at Lamb of God Church in Helena. It will be 9 am to 7 pm. The cost is $15 and we WILL have pizza for lunch and snacks.

We have a second crop planned for Saturday, November 2nd. It will be at Lamb of God church also. The time will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Christine will also be with us teaching a Christmas Daily Album.
I will get details on it later. Just save the date. The crop will be $15 and I will have Taco Soup for lunch.  Please just call or email to pay and sign up.

Summer is almost over with. It did go very fast. But I am looking forward to fall. I know many of you are looking forward to football. Only 2 weeks left. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Layout class.......

I have a busy week coming up. I am preparing for a trip to Florida. Need to get my oil changed and clothes washed, snacks to prepare and then off we go. The Layout Class with Christine is Thursday at 6:30. So....excited about the NEW papers we will be using. They are called Mayberry by American Crafts. We also have 3 spots left in our July Crop! Project Runway Crop!

It is time for a fun summer crop. This fun crop will include a GREAT challenge called Project Runway. The cost of the crop is $35 and that includes scrapbook space, pizza on Friday night, snacks, a fun scrapbook goodies and prizes. The crop will begin at 2:00 on Friday to 10:00 that night and Saturday will be 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be plenty of places to eat on Saturday and some nice hotels near by if you are traveling from out of town. I need the down payment of $25 by July 3rd. You can pay me through Paypal or pay by check. Just email me at ChefIndia@Bellsouth.net.  You will receive a fun Kit for the Project Runway Challenge. Take the kit and create a fun 1 or 2 page layout with the products in the kit. You will be allowed to use and add any product that you bring with you to help with your ''creation." By 12:00 on Saturday all layouts must be finished. And those attending will vote their favorite. The winner will receive a fun scrapbook prize. When you sign up please let me know if you would like to participate in the challenge. The kit is FREE. You do NOT have to participate in the challenge to attend the crop.  We only have 5 spots left. My Scrappy Friends.......

I get together once a month with some scrappy friends and we create whatever we want. Last month Beverly came over and we worked on mini-albums. She found one on Pinterest she liked and I had a kit I had bought and we put them together. Here are some pics of hers. We get together during the day. Munch on a little lunch but work on fun projects together. Summer is here and it is a GREAT time to get some scrappy friends together to work on those projects that you have always wanted to do. Try it!

Sorry, I have been so busy......

I am so sorry for not posting in so......long. I have been to a wedding in Piedmont Al., planned and attended an 80th birthday for my mother-in-law, been to Selma Al., attended 2 Saturday night prayer meetings and I am going to Tupelo this weekend for a family re-union. And we also celebrated mothers day and helped my son Andrew buy a new car. Whew! After the family re-union I hope things will settle down.

So during all the hustle and bustle I did make the wedding card with my new bride stamp by Stamping Bella. I hope you can see the fun stickles I used on the flowers and hem of the dress.   Hopefully I will be able to share soon, the mini-book I am working on.

Stamp of the Month and Die of the Month

O.K. here is the April Stamp of the Month and Die of the Month. I love both of these. You can find uses for the die at My Favorite Things Stamps. It looks GREAT on a card and layouts. The stamp has been hard to see but the Sentiment says "It is not about waiting for the thunderstorm to pass but about dancing in the rain".  I know I am stuck on Uptown Girls but I just love them. I am not good at.......

Blogging! I think that I am not very interesting. Not much happens in my life that is any different from anyone else. I did crop 6 pages at the last 2 Day crop so I am going for some more pages this weekend. That excites me.  My room is still not organized, but it is livable. Hopefully one day I can post a picture. But right now it just looks livable.

O.k. I have some announcements. Scrapbook Mania will be hosting a Fun One Day Crop on Saturday April 6th, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lamb of God church on Hwy 17 in Helena. The cost is $15. That will include lunch and snacks. Just email me or call if you would like to attend. The address is 5140 Hwy. 17 Suite 3, Helena, Al. 35080.

We have also moved the Layout Class with Christine to Lamb of God church in Helena. It is on Hwy 17 across from the BP.  The class is now $28. We have 2 spots left beginning in April. It is in a stucco building attached to the Construction Company. We hope to do many more classes and crops there.

It looks like spring is on the way. I cannot wait. I am ready. For spring that is. I am not sure anyone is ready for summer in the south. But we all know southern girls do not sweat! Till next time.
